How the Professional Pathway Supports Your Journey
The Auditory Essentials and Advanced Training Courses provide AG Bell Academy continuing education units (CEUs) and support professionals to work systematically through the nine required AG Bell domains of knowledge.
Learning is connected directly to clinical practice. Participants apply their knowledge in their work with children and families, submit recordings of their own sessions for F-1 evaluation and receive structured clinical supervision following those evaluations. This helps them reflect on feedback, strengthen their clinical reasoning and translate learning into meaningful changes in practice.
Across the two courses, participants can complete the 20 F-1 evaluations required for LSLS certification: two during Auditory Essentials and a further 18 during the Advanced Training Course.
Your responsibilities as an applicant
Auditory Pathways can provide education, mentoring, clinical supervisioon, observation and practice feedback, but each applicant remains responsible for:
- confirming their eligibility with the AG Bell Academy
- enrolling in the LSLS Registry
- appointing an appropriately certified mentor
- maintaining the required records and experience logs
- completing the AG Bell Academy application process
- paying the applicable registration and examination fees
- meeting all current certification requirements
Professional development with or without certification
The Professional Pathway can support professionals working towards LSLS certification, but certification is optional. Participants may complete the courses, clinical supervision and observation sessions for their professional-development value without intending to apply for an LSLS credential.
